  • ‘Ice Maker’ Blue Lakes, Breckenridge, Colorado-This image was made in late October when the ice was just starting to freeze. I was there before dawn and the wind was blowing so hard, I had to hold down the tripod and hide my face from the wind chill during each capture. I could hear the ice creaking and cracking in the wind which is what made the reflection in the ice so clear and pushed the sheets of ice up onto the shore. I loved how you could see the wind rippling the water in the crack of the ice. Hope you enjoy my most recent images!-sophia
